AAEON, a leading IPC company in Taiwan, is introducing a new LCD Panel PC - the Onyx-152, suitable for the medical market. The Onyx-152 consists of a computer and a flat-panel monitor. Utilizing VIA's Eden CPU 667MHz fanless CPU system, the Onyx-152 is AAEON's first medical PC.

Having a 15" XGA TFT LCD display with 1024 X 768 resolution, high brightness LCD, fanless solution, integrated multimedia functions and extensive expansion options make the Onyx-152 a perfect low noise platform for building a comprehensive lifestyle computing application. In addition, the Onyx-152 includes all the features of a powerful computer into a slim and attractive chassis. It accommodates one 2.5" hard disk drive and up to 512MB DRAM. Also, this model can use a side-mounted slim floppy disk, slim CD-ROM, CompactFlash card and PCMCIA card bus. Combining the Onyx-152 into your overall system can achieve both cost-saving and efficient improvements.

The Onyx-152 is a compact; all in one network-compatible PC with full safety, medical approval and features to control a dedicated system. Its common applications include point of sale systems, healthcare utilities, interactive information displays, automation control systems, general desktop use, multimedia recreation, and other medical requirements. With multifunctionality, the Onyx-152 meets the need of various applications, especially for medical solutions for hospitals, clinics, and therapy rooms.

Now after a series of serious testing, the Onyx-152 is available to the market now.
