We have only one earth!
Being environment-friendly has always been AAEON's guideline for running business and we have worked hard on this issue for years. AAEON respects the global environment and we have had continuous efforts on environmental protection. In addition to being an IS0-14001 certified company, AAEON is now proactively and aggressively taking necessary actions to response to the RoHS Directive that was legislated by Europe Union on 27 January 2003 and stands for Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). According to the RoHS Directive, from 1 July 2006, new electrical and electronic equipment put on the market does not contain lead (1000 ppm), mercury (1000 ppm), cadmium (100 ppm), hexavalent chromium (1000 ppm), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB, 1000 ppm) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE, 1000 ppm). (The ppm in parenthesis stands for maximum concentration value in each product.)
In order to follow the RoHS Directive of Europe Union (effective date: July 01, 2006), AAEON has taken several steps to accept our social responsibilities. We intend to offer customers safer products and protect our global environment more, and have made the lead-free manufacturing process ready in May 2004. In addition to lead-free manufacturing process, we plan to deliver lead-free and even RoHS compliant products by the first and third quarter of 2005 respectively.
