The GENE-9455 comes with the Intel Atom N270 processor 1.6GHz with a front side bus of 533MHz.  A 200-pin SODIMM socket can be populated with up to 2GB of DDR2 memory at 400 or 533 MHz.  Two Intel 82574L Ethernet controllers provide connection to multiple Gigabit networks enabling high bandwidth network communication.  Storage needs are well met with one IDE, two SATA II and one Type II CompactFlash connectors for storage. The Mini PCI and AAEON’s ECX Proprietary Expansion interfaces allow for the addition of a wide range of peripheral devices including wireless communication or customized functions.  The GENE-9455 also offers standard features such as four USB 2.0 ports, four COM ports, one 8-bit programmable digital I/O interface and an optional 4/5/8-wire touchscreen controller.  The flexibility of the GENE-9455 offers users distinct advantages when it comes to space and budget limitations.
