Taipei, Taiwan (Aug. 10)--AAEON announces a new full-size form factor Single Board Computer (SBC) - FSB-866G, which is based on the use of Intel® Pentium®4 & Celeron®-D processors. The FSB-866G utilizes Intel® LGA 775 Pentium® 4 CPUs with high CPU core frequencies up to 3.8GHz with the Front Side Bus (FSB) running at 533 to 800MHz. We AAEON design a CPU fan attached on package to enhance not only the hardness of the board, but also heat spreading. Moreover, this model supports dual channel DDR memory (DDR333/400) providing a maximum capacity up to 2GB. The VGA controller of FSB-866G is an integrated GMA900 2D/3D Graphics Accelerator inside the Intel 915GV chipset which enhances VGA performance capability, with a core frequency up to 333MHz. The chipset is in Intel's embedded roadmap that helps ensure this model's continued production.
In addition to the powerful computing engine, the FSB-866G comes with seven USB 2.0 ports, one Keyboard and Mouse connector, one standard FDD port, one IrDA header, CompactFlash™ Type II socket and Ultra ATA100 & SATA channels. It features four SATA connectors to support SATA devices. In addition, comparing to other similar products, the FSB-866G provides more flexibilities. It has three IDE slots that can support six IDE devices. This full-function design makes the FSB-866G a cost-effective industrial CPU card, ideal for system integrators.
The FSB-866G is also equipped with a PCI-Express LAN control IC, Marvell 88E8036/88E8053, for supporting 2 10/100 Mb or full-speed Giga LANs. There is special design for PCI-express signal application that can collocate with backplanes and connect to AAEON LAN daughter board that support 2 full-speed Gigabit LANs as well. The special design not only can connect with LAN card, but also backplanes. This flexible feature provides networking access abilities for high-speed applications such as gateway, VPN, and Mini-server.
