Taipei Taiwan (September 16, 2008) - AAEON, a premier Industrial PC manufacturer, launches the first IP-65 Embedded Controller, the AEC-6520.  As embedded controllers are getting more and more in demand, features such as waterproof and anti-vibration/shock functions seem apparent.  The AEC-6520 was not only designed to fit the needs of current market trends, but to be moderately priced. 

The AEC-6520 utilizes an Intel Celeron M processor (up to 1GHz), and one DDR SODIMM (up to 1GB).  This model is equipped with a DC in power connector, a USB2.0 port, a 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 connector, two COM ports, and a VGA port on the front panel.  In addition, the AEC-6520 deploys one internal CompactFlash Socket to enlarge storage capacity.

The key feature of the AEC-6520 is the fanless design.  Most of the IPC products in the market do not combine both fanless and IP-65 features into one unit.  Surprisingly, the AEC-6520 is capable of both these features in a small, compact design.  Another fantastic characteristic of the AEC-6520 is the wide operating temperature range.  With all these unique functions, the AEC-6520 is ideal for transportation applications and other harsh environments.

The AEC-6520 has withstood tough vibration testing up to 5G rms and is able to be wallmounted or stand alone.
