研扬AEC-6637是一款外观精巧、功能强大的无风扇嵌入式控制器，采用第3代Intel Core i7/i5处理器，搭配最新的22纳米制程技术，集成Intel® HD4000图像处理器，比起上一代产品，图像处理速度性能提升了一倍。另外，它还搭载最新的Intel® QM77芯片组，可提供更多的I/O接口和更快的连接速度。高性能及更快速的连接使AEC-6637更可满足工业自动化、楼宇自动化和交通运输等有空间限制的应用需求。
AEC-6637配有1组DDR3 1066/1333/1600MHz SODIMM插槽内存，最大支持到8GB。这款产品具有丰富的I/O接口，包括2个USB3.0接口、1个VGA、2个千兆以太网、3个 RS-232接口、1个RS-232/422/485接口、1个Line-out，通过这些丰富I/O的连接，AEC-6637可提供更快速更有效率的连接。此外，AEC-6637还提供1个SATA 6.0Gb/s接口，可支持1个2.5”HDD。另外，还有一个CFast™ 插槽，可插CFast™ 卡来扩展储存功能。另外，也可通过1张Mini Card来增加无线网络的功能，如支持802.11b/g/n及蓝芽3.0 或3G等无线通讯模块。AEC-6637的散热功能极佳，可在摄氏-10度到60度(有风流的情况下)的工作温度下使用。在电源方面，可支持DC 9V~30V宽幅电压输入，同时可提供电源保护，例如：过电压保护、低电压保护、短路及突波电流保护。这些功能让AEC-6637非常适合在严苛的工作环境下使用，可有效避免因电流不稳或接地不良产生的问题。
为了更有效管理远程设备，研扬提供免费Hi-Manager程序，可以安装在每一台AEC-6637上，允许用户从远程控制台利用BIOS进行远程管理。Hi-Manager也可以安装在AEC-6637上，来监控其它研扬的设备。对于个人设备监控，也可以安装研扬免费的Hi-Safe程序。
