    除了具备处理传统的网络平台功能，如防火墙保护、统一威胁管理（UTM）以及入侵检测和防御系统（IDS，IPS），FWS-7830还可以完美地管理网络功能虚拟化。

    研扬科技最新的1U架装的网络设备配备了Intel®第8代CPU，以及4个DDR4 UDIMM模块，内存高达64GB。三个NIM插槽为用户提供了灵活性，以及实现多个旁路通道的可能性。不同于竞争系统的传统设计规格，FWS-7830的默认SFP LAN端口采用Intel i350-AM2控制器来启用NFV基础设施，从而提高负载平衡效率，同时减少对实体设备的依赖。

    配备三个SATA连接器，用于额外存储；迷你卡插槽能实现WiFi/3G/4G扩展，同时还有两个PCIe插槽可实现进一步的扩展。该设备的综合I/O接口包括两个USB 3.2 Gen 1端口、一个控制台端口、一个LCM端口以及VGA和HDMI端口。
