AAEON UPS-HDCAP HDMI Capture System is a purpose-built remote monitoring system that meets Medtronic published minimum specifications for a remote monitoring system. UPS-HDCAP is powered by the Intel® N3350 Atom processor with Windows® 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC installed. The system also features a built-in HDMI video-in capture card, enabling remote viewing of HDMI video output from the Medtronic Puritan Bennett™ 980 ventilator without the need for additional adapters hanging loosely from the system. With 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage space, the UPS-HDCAP provides all the necessary hardware to get up and running quickly.
Bridging the Gap for Remote Monitoring
Once installed with the Omnitool software and remote access software, UPS-HDCAP can be safely placed inside a patient’s room, giving healthcare providers the ability to adjust ventilator’s settings remotely without needing to enter the room. This can help save time and reduce usage of critical PPE supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With two wired Ethernet ports and 802.11ac Wi-Fi, connecting to the ventilator and remote PC over hospital networks is supported without the need for additional hardware. UPS-HDCAP offers a compact, fanless design, along with several mounting options, to make it even easier to setup and deploy the system.

UPS-HDCAP system meets the minimum requirements for a dedicated PB980 Windows 10 PC for Omnitool use. The system has Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 installed. It also has two Ethernet ports: one port can be used to communicate exclusively with PB980; the other port can be used to communicate with a remote PC (not included). The system can also be set up to use Wi-Fi to communicate with the remote PC. The system also has HDMI capture card installed to take HDMI output from PB980 and playback in a window alongside the Omnitool software.
