Accelerating maintenance and connectivity for virtual platforms for SMB and SOHO offices

(Taipei, Taiwan) A major developer of network computing solutions, AAEON launches the FWS-2272, an ultra-compact fanless network appliance which boasts the smallest physical design on the current market. With a significant boost in performance, it is powered by Intel® N3350 SoC, formerly Apollo Lake. Designed to consolidate networks in secure and virtualized environments, the FWS-2272 is easy to configure and implement into existing hardware and network infrastructures, providing dual support for both wireless and wired connections. Its compact design is consolidated by a tough casing and an aluminum heatsink to enhance thermal management.

The system supports Intel® AES-NI, Intel® virtualization technology and TPM, enabling easier management and security. With four built-in LAN ports and wireless WiFi/3G/LTE support for network connections, along with on-board memory, eMMC storage and two USB 3.0 ports, the FWS-2272 is a veritable powerhouse of cost-effectivity, connectivity and agility. A console port is also offered for network device management. Interoperability is further co-opted with a generous offering of rich I/O ports, providing supreme functionality and computing capabilities; making the FWS-2272 easily deployable in small-space network environments, especially in places like conference rooms and/ or small offices requiring reliable performance and quiet operation.

Supported network functions include Firewall, VPN, Load Balancing, Software defined WAN (SD-WAN), Unified Threat Management (UTM), Wireless Network Access Controller (NAC) and Virtual Customer Premise Equipment (vCPE), which the FWS-2272 leverages quickly and easily without complicated configuration. It is also ideal for IoT uses, and is designed for minimum maintenance and maximum resilience.
