New Products with Latest Processors
(Taipei, Taiwan) February 3, 2015 — AAEON®, a major developer of industrial computing solutions, launches 5th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with the release of the EPIC-BDU7 board and FWS-7520 network appliance.
Built on the cutting edge 14nm process, the new processors offer line-ups that aim to satisfy a broad variety of applications that demand low power usage and high performance. Support for some of the today’s most wanted graphics features are also incorporated into the chips, to make it one of the most cost-efficient processors on the market.
The EPIC-BDU7, harnesses the full potential of the processors’ Ultra Low Power (ULP) technology to bring its required wattage down to a mere 15W, allowing a fanless configuration. Graphics capabilities are enhanced with the support for the latest Ultra HD (4k resolution) videos and triple simultaneous display.
Powered by the workstation grade processors, the FWS-7520 also benefits from the SoC’s efficient energy requirement that makes it a much greener device than other contenders in the market. Performance is likewise improved upon with support for expanded memory and three swappable network interface module slots.
“The improved performance and capabilities are most important for our clientele, who are always re-inventing themselves in this rapidly changing market,” said Louise Hsu, Product Manager at AAEON’s Embedded Computing Division. “With support for the up-and-coming 4k resolution graphics and lower power consumption, we are on track to deliver more exciting products to keep up this trend”.
