AAEON Launches its New BOXER-6614 Embedded Computer, Increasing Performance over 38%

(Taipei, Taiwan) March 10, 2015 —AAEON®, a major developer of industrial computing solutions, launches the new and improved BOXER-6614 embedded computer.

Compared with its predecessor, the AEC-6613, the BOXER-6614 features a significantly more powerful processor, the Intel® Celeron® N2930 Quad-core Processor running at 1.83GHz, and enhanced memory support to DDR3L memory, up to 8GB, giving a performance boost in excess of 38%.

Other enhancements include 2 x RS232/422/485(selectable from BIOS), new USB capabilities (USB3.0 supported) and display options (VGA and HDMI supported with dual view/simultaneous display), lower power consumption, and OS support (Windows®7/8.1, Windows® Embedded Standard 7/8, Linux Fedora).

In addition to improved specifications, other popular features also incorporated into this new iteration include AAEON’s High Safe support that allows user to perform effortless system diagnosis and monitoring tasks such as watchdog timers and digital IO control. SDKs for each function of High Safe are also available for flexible implementation.

A dual-core version sporting an Intel® Celeron® N2807 Dual-core Processor running at 1.58GHz, is also be available.
