AAEON Honored by Vision Systems Design 2018 Innovators Awards Program

The BOXER-6640M is recognized as one of the best solutions available in the machine vision sector

AAEON, a leading developer of advanced industrial computing platforms, has been honored with a 2018 Vision Systems Design Award. The accolade recognizes the BOXER-6640M as one of the best solutions available in the machine vision sector.

The bronze-level award, which came in the Embedded Vision category, was presented on April 10 at The Vision Show in Boston, Massachusetts, and AAEON CEO Howard Lin said that the honor “highlights the groundbreaking design of the BOXER-6640M and the company’s overall commitment to innovation and customer-focused design.”

The BOXER-6640M, which also won a 2018 Taiwan Excellence Award, is an embedded Box PC with a 6th or 7th Generation Intel® Core™ desktop processor and nine LAN ports. These specifications, along with the device’s eight USB 3.0 ports, make it a powerful factory automation or surveillance solution.

The Vision Systems Design Awards are now in their fourth year, and prizes were decided by a panel of 13 experts. Entries were judged on their originality; innovation; impact on designers, systems integrators, and end users; their ability to fulfill a need in the market that hasn’t been addressed; and the extent to which they leverage a novel technology.

Speaking about the awards, Alan Bergstein, publisher of Vision Systems Design (https://www.vision-systems.com) said, “This prestigious program allows Vision Systems Design to celebrate and recognize the most innovative products and services in the vision and image processing industry. Our 2018 Honorees are an outstanding example of companies who are making an impact in the industry.”
