The FWS-7800 Network appliance features the Intel Xeon Quad Core 3400 Series Processor with the Intel 3450 Chipset. The System Memory supports 240-Pin Dual-Channel ECC DDR3 1066/1333 and four SDRAM DIMM (Up To 16 GB). The SSD consists of a CompactFlash™ Type 2 Connector (ATA Mode). The FWS-7800 also offers a Mini-PCI Type 3 Socket for more expansion options. There are copious I/O ports, such as six USB 2.0, ten LAN (Optional), one Power LED, one Bypass LED, one LCM Display, one PCI-E/PCI-X/PCI Expansion Slot, and one HDD Active LED connector.

The FWS-7800 has hot swappable design configurations for PER-C31L, PER-C33L, PER-C34L and PER-C35L modules also offers Advanced Bypass Functions, such as Power Failure Mode, Jumper-less, System Failure Mode and a Programmable Force Bypass Mode. All of these options make the FWS-7800 exceedingly effortless to work with.
