Integrated GPU for Immersive Visual Displays
Equipped with an integrated Vivante GC7000 UltraLite 3D GPU, a dedicated VPU, and a HDMI 2.0 interface, the RICO-MX8P makes vision a reality for an array of multimedia applications across digital signage, kiosks, and interactive Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising. With support for APIs like OpenGL ES 3.1, Vulkan, and OpenCL 1.2 and multiformat encoding and decoding, the RICO-MX8P guarantees immersive, smooth visuals with greater control over resource allocation.
Efficient, AI-Ready Platform
The RICO-MX8P is powered by the NXP i.MX 8M Plus, comprised of a quad-core Arm® Cortex®-A53 processor, a secondary core Arm® Cortex® M7, and an optional Neural Processing Unit (NPU) offering up to 2.3 TOPS of inference performance. Combined with its broad industrial connector support, this platform grants users a route to deployment for a variety of low-latency, entry-level AI applications requiring power-efficient object detection, real-time image processing, and machine learning.
Expansive Industrial Communication
Fitting RS-232/422/485 pin headers, UART, GPIO, and an FPC connector on a compact PICO-ITX Plus form factor, the RICO-MX8P is a strong contender for industrial control systems such as PLCs and telemetry systems. Adding to this suitability is the board’s wide temperature option, which ensures optimum operation from -20°C to 70°C. Wireless connectivity also lends credence to such deployment purposes, with support for Wi-Fi and LTE through both an M.2 E-Key and Full-size mPCIe Slot.
