The FWS-8500 features Intel® E5-2600 V3 series Xeon® Processor with the Intel® 8925 Chipset w/ embedded QAT supported. The System Memory supports 288-pin DDR4 1600/1866/2133 MHz (8 DIMM Per CPU) RDIMM x 16, up to 128 GB. Storage consists of a CompactFlash™ Type 2 Connector (ATA Mode), two 2.5" or one 3.5" SATA HDD. There are copious I/O ports, such as USB 2.0 and 8 PCI-E Gen. 2 slot onboard, one Power LED, one HDD Active LED, one status LED, one LCM Display, and optional 2 PCI-E Expansion slot.
The FWS-8500 has swappable design configurations for Network Interface Modules, such as NIM-C13A, NIM-S13A and NIM-S26A designed by AAEON. Moreover, the FWS-8500 offers Advanced Bypass Functions, such as Power Failure Mode, Jumper-less, System Failure Mode and a Programmable Force Bypass Mode.
