UP Xtreme代表了第三代UP Board products的面世，該產品採用第八代Intel® Core™和Celeron®處理器（前稱Whiskey Lake），具有高達16GB的板載RAM和64GB的eMMC內存以支持任何應用場景。借助最新的Intel®圖形解決方案，UP Xtreme能夠進行4K視頻輸出，同時標配內置音頻插孔。
UP Xtreme為UP產品線帶來了工業級的性能，例如12~60V寬電壓電源輸入、兩個RS232/422/485 10針接頭和時間敏感網絡（TSN），以有效推進相連工廠中的往來通信。 UP Xtreme還可以在0°C至60°C的溫度範圍內穩定運行。
UP Xtreme通過40針和100針連接器以及m.2 2230/2280插槽和mPCIe插槽提供靈活的擴展性。 UP Xtreme可以通過Wi-Fi、藍牙、4G和LTE這些無線模塊進行擴展。 UP Xtreme還與其他UP Board模塊兼容，包括AI Core X, AI Core XM 2280，和Vision Plus X,這些模塊均採用Intel® Movidius™ Myriad™ X。通過安裝每個模塊，UP Xtreme最多可支持六個Intel® Movidius™ Myriad™ X模塊，為邊緣計算應用程序提供高性能的人工智能處理。
