    研扬明星产品"UP Board"的下一代"UP 4000"，将经典与现代融为一体，除仍保有原UP Board的经典紧凑外形(仅信用卡大小)外，包括处理能力、I/O和扩充选项等也都作了全面升级，并同时与现有的UP Board供电系统兼容。

    值得一提的是，UP 4000所采用的Apollo Lake平台(Intel® Pentium® N4200/ Celeron® N3350/ Atom™ E3950 SoC处理器）可将CPU速度提高30%。除此之外，英特尔第9代高清处理器针对3D图形性能也有两倍的提升。与上一代相比，这些升级为使用者提供了高达1.7倍的单线程性能提升，以及1.5倍的图形爆发性能。

    虽然UP 4000象征着创客板技术的大跃进，但UP 4000仍遵循原UP Board之高CP值，来弥合工业计算机与创客板差距的生产宗旨。尽管价格亲民，UP 4000作了许多新功能提升，例如支持音频功能的6针wafer、增强安全性的TPM 2.0和HDMI 1.4端口。UP 4000可直接支持mic-in和line-out，支持DP1.2的USB Type-C，让UP 4000可支持4K的双视频显示(60Hz)。

    为满足第一代UP Board的客户更复杂的需求，研扬为UP 4000配备了更丰富的I/O，例如丰富的扩充选项，都展现在相同的3.37”x 2.22”(85.6 毫米 x 56.5 毫米）紧凑外形上。

    UP 4000配备有三个USB 3.2 Gen 1端口、两个USB 2.0（透过10针wafer）和一个USB Type-C插槽，透过弹性选择的载板，客户可以选择透过两个M.2 Key端口去支持Wi-Fi、5G或AI应用。
