    Overview

    The FWS-7850 is AAEON’s most innovative 1U Rackmount Network Appliance yet. Slimmer, faster, and more powerful than its counterparts, the system utilizes multiple high-speed networking channels and the performance hybrid architecture of 12th and 13th Gen Intel® Core™ socket-type CPUs for a plethora of networking solutions. NIM expansion, broader interface support, and customizable hardware give you all the tools required to consolidate your networking needs into one reliable platform.

    Advanced, Customizable Networking

    Equipped with dual 10GbE SFP+ ports and three NIM slots, the FWS-7850 grants the ultimate modular networking experience. Each of the system’s three NIM slots can support up to eight LAN, for a total of 24 RJ-45 ports. Such flexible and customizable networking options allow multiple security functions, such as intrusion detection, data loss prevention, and firewall, to be consolidated into a single device for Next-Generation Unified Threat Management solutions.

    Power-Efficient Microarchitecture

    The FWS-7850 supports both 12th and 13th Gen Intel® Core™ socket-type CPUs alongside up to 128GB of DDR5 for exceptionally fast and robust network traffic processing. Integrating two core microarchitectures into a single die allows the FWS-7850 to optimize task efficiency. As such, the FWS-7850 can allocate P-cores to tasks requiring intensive workloads, such as deep packet inspection and content scanning, while E-cores handle low-intensity tasks like such as system monitoring.

    Modular Hardware

    With a much slimmer 430mm x 400mm x 44mm design compared to its predecessor, the FWS-7850 maintains the broad interface configuration of previous models. Crucially, it also accommodates a variety of boards for additional I/O or riser expansion, allowing users to customize the system to their application needs. Additionally, the platform comes with a default 300W Redundant PSU, with the option of a 1U Flex ATX 220W power unit. For storage, the system offers flexibility with both 2.5” and 3.5” SATA drive bays.
