Field Inspection is a vital task in maintaining energy and power infrastructure. To improve efficiency and accuracy in its inspection reports, one major energy provider in China decided to equip its field inspectors with tablet PCs to assist in the task. An appropriate tablet was needed, one which could hold up to the rigors of field use, integrate High-Frequency RFID to recognize and record inspection results, and wireless communication features to connect via Wi-Fi and cellular networks.
