研揚AEC-6636是一款外觀精巧、功能強大的無風扇嵌入式控制器，採用第3代Intel® Core™ i7 2710QE/ i5 2510E或Intel® Celeron® B810處理器。另外，它還搭載Intel® QM67芯片組，可提供更多的I/O接口和更快的連接速度。高性能及更快速的連接使AEC-6636可滿足工業自動化、樓宇自動化和交通運輸等有空間限制的應用需求。
AEC-6636配置有1組DDR3 1066/1333MHz SODIMM插槽內存，最大支持到8GB。這款產品具有豐富的I/O接口，包括4個USB2.0接口、1個VGA、2個千兆以太網、3個RS-232接口、1個RS-232/422/485接口、1個Line-out，通過這些豐富I/O的連接，AEC-6636可提供更快速更有效率的連接。此外，AEC-6636還提供1個SATA 6.0Gb/s接口，可支持1個2.5"HDD。另外，還有一個CFast™ 插槽，可插CFast™ 卡來擴展儲存功能。另外，也可通過1張Mini Card來增加無線網絡的功能，如支持802.11b/g/n及藍芽3.0 或3G等無線通訊模塊。AEC-6636的散熱功能極佳，可在攝氏-10度到60度(有風流的情況下)的工作溫度下使用。在電源方面，可支持DC 9V~30V寬幅電壓輸入，同時可提供電源保護，例如：過電壓保護、低電壓保護、短路及突波電流保護。這些功能讓AEC-6636非常適合在嚴苛的工作環境下使用，可有效避免因電流不穩或接地不良產生的問題。
為了更有效管理遠程設備，研揚提供免費Hi-Manager程序，可以安裝在每一台AEC-6636上，允許用戶從遠程控制台利用BIOS進行遠程管理。 Hi-Manager也可以安裝在AEC-6636上，來監控其它研揚的設備。對於個人設備監控，也可以安裝研揚免費的Hi-Safe程序。

- AEC-6636 can support i-AMT , but default bios is disable. If customer want to support the function , case by case to talk.
