UPAI-2280-HLO8 — Hailo-8 AI Accelerator for UP Edge AI Platforms

The UPAI-2280-HLO8 is an M.2 2280 AI accelerator module powered by the Hailo-8™ AI processor. Designed for seamless integration with compatible UP platforms, it adds up to 26 TOPS of dedicated AI performance for real-time vision inference without adding processing demands to the host CPU. Supported UP models include the UP Squared 7100, UP Squared Pro 7000, UP Squared TWL Edge, and UP Squared Pro TWL Edge. Combining UP hardware with energy-efficient AI acceleration enables system integrators to build scalable edge solutions for industrial automation, robotics, security, and smart retail.

As part of the UP ecosystem, the UPAI-2280-HLO8 supports workloads including object detection, classification, face recognition, image segmentation, and automated inspection. Processing data locally helps reduce latency, protect sensitive information, and minimize reliance on cloud connectivity. Its M.2 2280 M-Key form factor, typical power consumption of approximately 2.5W, and industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C make it suitable for space-constrained and demanding deployments. Together, UP’s Intel®-based systems and the Hailo accelerator provide a scalable foundation for faster proof-of-concept development and efficient vision AI implementation.
